Jesus Calls Canada blankets the country with prayer
Intercessors pray around the clock for the needs of this country and the world

Jesus is calling Canada, and Paul Dhinakaran is looking for Canadians who are willing to respond.
"[God] showed me that this country has welcomed all the people in the world, and it is His will to bless this country and establish it to be a blessing to all other nations," says Dhinakaran, the co-founder of Jesus Calls, a global ministry with a divine vision to heal millions of broken-hearted people through the love and compassion of Christ.
"Canada will rise up in the international realm in the world, and will have a say in the affairs of the world."
Dhinakaran and Jesus Calls Canada have established a prayer tower in Toronto, Ontario where intercessors pray for the needs of Canada as well as the rest of the world.
The tower is one of 38 the Jesus Calls ministry has established around the globe, including 29 in India, where Dhinakaran is from and where the Jesus Calls ministry originated.
Dhinakaran says that ultimately, the plan is to establish a prayer tower in Jerusalem, where intercessors will pray around the clock for the needs of the world.
"What the Lord is beginning to do in India, we believe He will begin to do in every nation of the world," Dhinakaran says. "His will will be permeated into the governments of the world as we begin to pray in Jerusalem, and this will usher in the Second Coming of Christ."
What the Lord is beginning in India through Jesus Calls is immeasurable. Since Dhinakaran's father established the ministry in 1970, it has grown to include a staff of 700. Jesus Calls holds evangelistic meetings that regularly draw crowds of 200,000 to 500,000 people. Thousands have given their lives to Christ at these meetings.
Jesus Calls also produces TV programs in 12 languages that appear on the top networks in India, and the ministry produces 1,800 programs a month in those 12 languages.
The mission is simple: "Pray for all people of all nations and all backgrounds." Phone lines are open around the clock, and people can call the Jesus Calls prayer towers with their prayer requests.
The aim of the ministry is to bring healing to the broken-hearted, giving them hope through prayer and the use of mass media; to raise prayer intercessors who pray and serve with compassion; to raise full-fledged professionals in a variety of fields (engineers, managers, etc.) with zeal to serve the suffering humanity from the higher levels of society; to help the poor and needy with welfare and social assistance programs; and to offer most of these services free of cost by raising resources through public support.
Jesus Calls Canada holds prayer services every Saturday at 4 p.m. at its headquarters in Toronto at 1029 McNicoll Avenue that anyone is welcome to attend. Dhinakaran also hosts a TV show on CTS every Sunday at 5 p.m. called "Prayer Time."
Dhinakaran is also organizing outreach services for 7 p.m. on July 1 and 2 at Canada Christian College "to reach out to people who need Christ."
And soon, the ministry will begin training prayer intercessors. The goal is to establish another prayer tower in Ottawa, near the Parliament buildings, so that prayer intercessors can pray around the clock for Canada's leaders and for God's will to be perfected in the country.
"The Lord gave me a vision saying, 'you have to pray for the people, for Me to meet their needs and for them to find Me as Saviour and be transformed as My prophets to kings, nations, peoples and languages,'" Dhinakaran says.
So, that's what he's doing.
