West Texas A&M president cancels ‘derisive’ campus drag show, cites Christian faith

“These lewd ‘performances’ are divisive & degrading.”

The head of a Texas university cited the Bible and other religious texts to support his decision to cancel a planned drag show scheduled to take place on campus later this month.

In a statement released Tuesday, West Texas A&M University President Walter Wendler said the college, located in Canyon, Texas, about 10 miles south of Amarillo, will not host the March 31 drag show, which he said was advertised as an effort to raise money for a nonprofit organization, The Trevor Project.

Israel’s Prime Minister Says the Country Will Not Pass Bill Banning Christianity

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Wednesday that he will not allow any legislation to be passed banning Christianity after two members of the Israeli government proposed the bill earlier this year, according to the All Israel News.

The bill was introduced into the Israeli Knesset, Israel’s legislative body of elected officials, from Israel’s United Torah Judaism’s Moshe Gafni and Yaakov Asher on Jan. 9, according to All Israel News. Following rising outcry against the bill Netanyahu addressed concerns that Israel was gearing up to ban the Christian faith.

What’s 5% Of John MacArthur Worth?

At last week’s Shepherds Conference, Steve Lawson said, “I think that 5% of John MacArthur is worth more than the whole evangelical world put together.”

Some evangelicals immediately accused Steve Lawson of celebrity worship, idolatry, and flattery.

Normally, I wouldn’t dedicate an article to this kind of issue. To be honest, I think this supposed controversy is silly. However, I’ve received some questions about this. And it actually gives me an opportunity to share something I’ve been thinking about concerning John MacArthur, evangelicals, and North Americans.

Editor’s Note: There is much confusion in the media’s reporting of the shooter’s sex and sex identity, including in the article below. What is known is that the shooter was a female adult, who had recently announced her intention to live as a cross-dressing man, asking to be identified as “he/him”.

Seven people were killed, including three children, after a transgender woman opened fire inside a private Christian elementary school in Nashville on Monday.

Police said they received a call at 10:13 a.m. about an active shooter, later identified as Audrey Hale, at the Covenant School with police rushing to the scene to clear the halls.

Samaritan’s Purse sending relief after tornadoes kill at least 26 in Mississippi, Alabama

Towns such as Rolling Fork and Silver City in Sharkey and Humphreys counties of Mississippi were particularly hard hit, according to the National Weather Service.

“It sounded like a freight train,” Andrew Dennard from Rolling Fork told NBC News. He said an airborne piece of wood narrowly missed his head as it crashed into his home. “I don’t think we’re going to rebuild from this. It’s worse than death,” he was quoted as saying.
