Give the Word equips people to follow the Holy Spirit’s lead
The mission at Give the Word is to equip ministries and individuals with Bibles designed for outreach.
One couple, recently provided with a Bible by Give the Word, was challenged to share their faith. After hearing about a woman and her two daughters in immediate need of food in Winnipeg, the couple followed the Holy Spirit’s urging to do something about it.
They met the woman at a public parking lot and gave her and her kids a trunk-full of fresh groceries. She started to cry, asking, “Why are you doing this for us?”
In response, the couple obeyed a “nudge” from the Holy Spirit and gave the woman a Bible from Give the Word. They also invited the family to church. Tears streaming down her face, the woman explained one of her daughters had recently asked why they didn’t go to church.
One year later this woman is living for Jesus, back on her feet with a great job, and has started to invite her friends to join her on Sundays.
This is Give the Word’s goal: to equip people and ministries to share their faith with God’s Word. Give the Word has sent out more than 25,000 Bibles in the past 15 months. It only took one Bible and one person for this story to unfold, how many others will there be?
Give the Word provides outreach-focused Bibles to ministries in need, as well as providing Bibles to individuals to give away. The Bibles are 100 per cent funded by donations.
