Following the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the return of abortion law to individual states, pro-life groups in the United States are moving two different directions on what abortion bans should look like.
Historically pro-life groups have viewed those who seek abortions as "second victims" who could benefit from support in carrying their unwanted pregnancy. However, a newer movement of "abortion abolitionists" argue that anyone seeking an abortion, in some cases even for life-saving medical reasons, should be tried for murder.
