CCM Icon Amy Grant Named a Kennedy Center Honoree

This year's class of Kennedy Center honorees has made history for Christian music.
Among the five people being honoured at this year's gala is Contemporary Christian musician Amy Grant, the first-ever Christian pop artist to get the award. The annual event has a long history of honouring Christian musicians and artists, including this year with singers Gladys Knight and Bono (of the band U2), both of whom have spoken publicly about their faith. However this year will mark the first time a CCM artist is given the award.
