Canada's Bill C-4 banning conversion therapy has officially been signed into law - but exactly what that law entails remains unclear for many Christian leaders.

While most Christians say they support banning the harmful practices involved in conversion therapy, many expressed concern over the broad language and lack of clarity in the bill, which leaves significant room for interpretation by the courts. Some experts argue the bill could be interpreted to outlaw nearly any kind of teaching or conversation around Biblical views of sexuality, or even well-intentioned conversations between parents and children. And while not all Christians agree on what a "biblical view" of sexuality entails, the bill should raise concerns for all of us.
