Church attendance rising, but still short of pre-pandemic levels

The latest report from Lifeway Research shows churches in the United States are getting closer to pre-pandemic attendance - although the numbers aren't the same everywhere.
The survey included 1,000 church leaders from across the U.S. and found that for August 2022, on average, church attendance was about 85% of what they saw in January 2020. That number is up from just 73% average attendance in August 2021, and all pastors now say their churches are meeting in-person.
