Majority of pastors don’t believe Christians should tithe 10%: study

A new study in the United States suggests many pastors may be out of sync with their churches in their beliefs about giving.
Research conducted in 2021 shows that only a third of pastors are in favour of the traditional view on tithing as 10% of income. The Barna study also shows that most pastors believe tithing doesn't have to be strictly financial, which may be welcome news to the 79% of Christians who were found to give less than ten percent - or nothing at all - to their church.
