Division and conflict among Christians is a pattern older than the religion itself. Disagreement on things big and small, from understandings of the Trinity to baptism styles to the language of the service, have led to infighting and church splits for centuries.
Today, much of the division we see in the church (and between churches) can be attributed to political biases and an imbalance of priorities.
