It has been eleven months since Bruxy Cavy, then-pastor of The Meeting House, was put on leave and an investigation launched into allegations of his sexual misconduct.
In the time since, the church has seen even more allegations of abuse, police have charged Cavey with sexual assault, and the church has announced plans to downsize from 20 sites to just six. In this piece for Christian Courier, Peter Schuurman revisits what The Meeting House used to be, reviews what happened so far, and looks to the future of this church which has endured so much in less than a year.
